October Carollers

January 25, 2009

Flimsy limbs.
Heart-rending voices.
Singing ditties and carols – though out of tune.
With misplaced and mispronounced lyrics.

For just a peso,
And of myopic visions.
Hanging upon bars of traveling conveyances.
Uttering words – almost raucous and croaky.

Street children.
Callow bairns.
With nature-spring-bottle maracas;
And flattened caps for tambourines.

On a midday sun.
And dusty atmosphere.
Their grubby faces mirror penury;
Delicate little hands denote beggary.

**This poem was cross-posted in my poetry site. But since I am not thinking of updating that site anymore, I just transferred it here. This was written out of the blue when I saw little kids serenading the passengers with Christmas songs in mid-October.

The Silkroad Experience

January 24, 2009

Do you want to know what cures my boredom?

Online Games! Yes, at age 21, I still play online games with friends. And, one of the online games I play is Silkroad Online.

silkroad

Silkroad Online is an MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online RPG) that puts the player deep into ancient Chinese, Islamic, and European civilizations. The Silk Road, was in short, a major cultural and economic trading gateway. Roads connected between ancient Asia and Europe that have disappeared into the forgotten history of glory and adventure.

The Silkroad is an active world unlike other MMORPG’s which have fixed content. In the spacious roads Merchants take chances for adventure while Thief’s intend to strip them of their goods. Although, with great risk in trades, Hunters will be their too protect traders and end the mischief of thieves. On the Silkroad, the constant life that is given to this world is through the trades and challenges brought from it forming various bonds, goals, and dreams giving the Silkroad a world full of life.

For more info about the game, click here.

Okay, enough about the game. I just want to show you two of my characters there. So, sit back and relax. lol

There, the first character’s name is Lawliet. He character is named after my favorite detective in Death Note, “L” a.k.a. “Ryuzaki.” My character is an archer. Obvious ba? Low level pa lang. Kaya, noob pa rin. And, he is Chinese. lols.

The other character is European. The name’s “bigaon.” If you know a little Cebuano, you’d know what that means. Hehe. She is a rogue. She can use stealth attacks to kill the enemies with her dagger! So, watch out!

The experience was great, indeed. So, come and join me on my quest!

Cars need oil changing. Or else it won’t work like a well-oiled machine. The same goes for people like you and me. We need to keep our body always clean, even on the inside. That’s why detoxifying your body maybe as important as taking your daily bath to keep you healthy all the time. Drink new vitwater Cleanse! It has fiber that helps flush out the toxins in your body and promote digestive health. So start living clean and healthy. Start drinking vitwater Cleanse! Dut don’t stop taking a bath, okay?

That’s according to the label of the vitwater Cleanse (parang vitamin water ng US na nakikita ko sa Gossip Girl. lols) that I bought a while ago. Kaya pala ako natatae kanina. lols. joke lang. This vitwater actually comes with different flavor, with corresponding colors (yellow, orange, blue, and red). It has vitamins A, B1, B3, B6, B12, C, and E too! This is actually one way to a healthy living.

For P13.55, grab a bottle of vitwater  and start living a healthy life.

Vitwater is manufactured by RFM.  For comments and suggestions, call 632-0874 (Metro Manila) or 1-800-10-000-1000 (Provincial Toll Free).

P.S.

Hindi ako binabayaran para sa post na ‘to. Wala lang kasi akong maisip na isulat. lols. 😆

The Searched Term

January 20, 2009

I checked my blog stats today and I was shocked. The most searched term yesterday was “broken heart.”

Check the image to find out.

bheart
This made me wonder how many people nowadays are broken hearted. I tsked for the thought. Well, as for me, my heart’s well. The broken-heart issue was soooooooo long ago.

I never thought moving on is that rewarding. Well, it is indeed from the mistakes that we learn a few things. Let us not be afraid to take risks and commit mistakes. Be stupid, for once. But don’t abuse the privilege. We can’t always sniff coke and block our noses with ice cubes. We can also learn a few tricks; new ways to find happiness.
